Outbound Advertising Sales Agent
We are seeking an Advertising Sales Agent who will proactively promote the value of newspaper advertising by selling a variety of online and print advertising products for Freedom newspapers through consistent outbound calling to prospective and inactive advertisers. Outbound sales will include both written and verbal outbound contacts and prospects across multiple Freedom properties and partners nationwide.
To be the right fit for this position you will: Demonstrate a superior level of excellent internal and external customer service. Prepare and deliver consistent outbound calling to prospective advertisers, achieving a minimum of 120 dials per day to ensure minimum monthly revenue targets are met and exceeded. Perform exceptional consultative sales techniques, utilizing market research information, sales tools, product knowledge, improved telephone solicitation procedures, call-out programs, rapport building and sales objectives. Implement and coordinate accurate and timely communication procedures with other stakeholders to ensure customer problems and needs are resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Preferred candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Able to read, write, clearly speak and understand English.
- Knowledge of call center operating environments and technologies.
- Ability to type 30 word per minute with accuracy.
- A self starter; able to work and produce independently and is adaptable to change.
- Able to sit viewing a computer screen, speaking clearly and concisely via telephone, for long periods of time during an eight hour work shift.
- Experience with MS Office Suite and ability to work in a windows-based and web-enabled desktop environment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic math activities; addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
